Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor to join a supportive school in the Wellingborough area. This rewarding role is ideal for someone with experience working with young people who may face social, emotional, behavioural, or learning barriers that impact their engagement in education.
As a Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to develop positive behaviours, build confidence, and access learning successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small-group mentoring to pupils requiring additional behavioural or emotional support.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students to promote engagement, attendance, and wellbeing.
Support the implementation of behaviour support plans and targeted interventions.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Help pupils develop social skills, emotional resilience, and strategies for managing their behaviour.
Support students in accessing learning and overcoming barriers to achievement.
Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and intervention outcomes.
Act as a positive role model, promoting inclusion and high expectations for all learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, mentoring, care, or support setting.
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs, SEND, challenging behaviour, or attendance issues would be advantageous.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
