Science Teacher - Milton Keynes

We are working with a welcoming and well-organised secondary school in Milton Keynes who are looking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis. This is a full-time position offering consistency within a supportive Science department, with the possibility of further opportunities for the right candidate.

This role would suit a confident practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality Science lessons and helping students achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

  • Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available in some settings)
  • Deliver lessons that promote curiosity, understanding, and enthusiasm for Science
  • Incorporate practical work and demonstrations to support learning and engagement
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress with clear and effective feedback
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of departmental schemes of work
  • Take part in wider Science department initiatives, including STEM activities and enrichment opportunities
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
  • Strong classroom presence with the ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Good subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
  • Effective behaviour management and a consistent teaching approach
  • A team player who is keen to contribute to school life
  • ECTs are welcome to apply and will be fully supported
