We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking to appoint a dedicated HLTA to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning while supporting pupils across the primary age range.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality classroom support, deliver interventions, and confidently lead lessons when required.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2
- Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring continuity of learning
- Lead targeted interventions with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and confidence
- Work alongside teachers to plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities for pupils of all abilities
- Support children with SEND and additional learning needs through inclusive classroom practice
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience working within a UK primary school
- Holds HLTA status or has the experience and confidence to fulfil the responsibilities of the role
- Is confident leading whole-class learning across the primary curriculum
- Has excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Is patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and achieving the best outcomes for every pupil
- Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive school team
