We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking to appoint committed Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026. The school is ideally looking to appoint on a permanent basis; however, long-term supply and fixed-term contract arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to gain valuable experience supporting children in a nurturing primary school environment.

The Role

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Working with pupils 1:1 and in small groups, including those with additional learning needs (SEND)

  • Supporting early reading, writing, phonics, and numeracy development

  • Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and motivated throughout the school day

  • Promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, safe, and supportive classroom environment

  • Assisting with targeted interventions to help pupils make progress

  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning in young children

  • Works well as part of a team and takes initiative when required

  • Has experience working with children (education, nursery, care, youth work, coaching, or similar-desirable but not essential)
