1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in welcoming primary and secondary schools across Kettering.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to implement personalised learning strategies.

  • Encourage the pupil's independence, confidence, and engagement in lessons.

  • Support the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.

  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or support setting.

  • Have a patient, caring, and resilient approach.

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check.
