The Role

As a Casual Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and complex learning difficulties.

  • Work on a one-to-one basis or with small groups to support learning and personal development.

  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social skills.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

  • Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Adapt to different classrooms and school settings while maintaining a high standard of support.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs (desirable but not essential).

  • Are patient, caring, and resilient.

  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Can adapt quickly to new environments and build positive relationships.

  • Are passionate about supporting pupils with SEND to achieve their full potential.

  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check.
