As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. You may be supporting students on a one-to-one basis, working with small intervention groups or assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

The schools we work with support pupils with a wide range of needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

To be considered, you must have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school, specialist provision or similar setting.
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and respond positively to different situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment).
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
