Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Milton Keynes that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to support students in reaching their potential within a positive and encouraging school environment. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide academic, emotional, and pastoral support to students across the school.

The Role

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum

  • Working with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning and progress

  • Providing additional support to students with SEND and additional learning needs

  • Helping students develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits

  • Supporting students with literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific activities where required

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to a calm and inclusive learning environment

  • Assisting with classroom activities, resources, and lesson preparation

  • Building positive relationships with students to help them achieve their academic and personal goals

  • Has experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
