About the Role

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress while gaining hands-on teaching experience within a supportive secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to secondary-aged students.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Support students with their learning and encourage engagement.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.

  • Work closely with teaching staff and school leaders.

  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with young people in a school, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidence leading groups of students.

  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

  • A degree is desirable but not essential.
