Humanities Teacher

Location: Wellingborough
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (with potential for a permanent position)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Education while making a positive impact on their academic journey.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to develop their knowledge, critical thinking, and understanding of the world around them. The ability to teach one or more Humanities specialisms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Teach subjects such as History, Geography, and/or Religious Education.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and Humanities department.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary school level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education.

  • Excellent classroom management skills.

  • The ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.

  • A commitment to supporting student progress and achievement.
