We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Corby that is seeking a dedicated Learning Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual who is committed to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and development.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the wider school team to provide high-quality classroom support, helping pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

About the Role:

As a Learning Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across the classroom, working with individual pupils, small groups, and occasionally providing one-to-one support where required. You will help create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, encouraging pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom to access learning and achieve their potential

  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and deliver targeted interventions

  • Assisting the class teacher in preparing learning resources and classroom activities

  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement and independence

  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, adapting your approach where appropriate

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Assisting with classroom organisation and daily routines

Who We're Looking For:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

  • A flexible and proactive attitude

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential
