Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Corby area. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.

You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialism at a higher level depending on experience and school requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons

  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Encouraging student engagement and achievement

  • Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and department

  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and attainment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting

  • Has strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics

  • Can deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

  • Has excellent classroom management skills

  • Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for students

  • Has a positive and proactive approach to teaching
