Teaching Assistant - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are working closely with a number of welcoming secondary schools across Northampton who are looking to appoint dedicated Teaching Assistants from February. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to support students both inside and outside the classroom, while developing valuable experience within education.

About the Role

  • Supporting classroom teachers across KS3 and KS4 to ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively

  • Working with students 1:1 or in small groups, including those with SEND or additional learning needs

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain a calm, focused learning environment

  • Supporting students' confidence, engagement, and independence

  • Contributing to the wider school community and pastoral support systems

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Is patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about working with young people

  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and students

  • Is adaptable, reliable, and proactive in a busy school environment

  • Has experience in education, childcare, youth work, care, or coaching (helpful but not essential)
