Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a number of forward-thinking secondary schools in Northampton that are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed French Teacher for a February 2026 start. This is a full-time opportunity, offering either long-term supply or a permanent contract for the right candidate.

These schools value Modern Foreign Languages as a key part of their curriculum and are committed to delivering engaging, high-quality French lessons that build confidence, cultural awareness, and strong communication skills.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available in some settings)

  • Inspire students to develop fluency, curiosity, and cultural understanding

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners

  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative MFL department

  • Take part in wider school life, including enrichment and cultural activities

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of the French GCSE curriculum (A-Level experience advantageous)

  • Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management

  • A genuine enthusiasm for language learning and student progress

  • ECTs and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply
