About the Role

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential involvement at KS5
  • Support the Learning Director in driving progress and attainment across the department
  • Take on specific leadership responsibilities aligned to your strengths and development
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and departmental improvement
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, creativity, and student engagement
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards

About You

  • Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
  • An experienced English teacher with strong subject knowledge
  • Ambitious and motivated to take on leadership responsibilities
  • Committed to raising attainment and delivering an inclusive curriculum
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about developing students' confidence, creativity, and love of English
