About the Role
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute at KS5 (Language and Literature)
- Work closely with the Learning Director to support the strategic direction of the department
- Help drive progress and attainment through high-quality teaching and effective curriculum planning
- Contribute to the delivery of a broad curriculum, including both classic and diverse literary texts
- Support colleagues through collaboration, sharing best practice and maintaining high standards
- Play an active role in assessment, planning, and wider school improvement initiatives
About You
- Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
- An experienced English practitioner with strong subject knowledge
- Ready to take on additional responsibility within a leadership capacity
- Passionate about delivering an engaging and inclusive English curriculum
- A strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of English
