About the Role

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute at KS5 (Language and Literature)
  • Work closely with the Learning Director to support the strategic direction of the department
  • Help drive progress and attainment through high-quality teaching and effective curriculum planning
  • Contribute to the delivery of a broad curriculum, including both classic and diverse literary texts
  • Support colleagues through collaboration, sharing best practice and maintaining high standards
  • Play an active role in assessment, planning, and wider school improvement initiatives

About You

  • Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent)
  • An experienced English practitioner with strong subject knowledge
  • Ready to take on additional responsibility within a leadership capacity
  • Passionate about delivering an engaging and inclusive English curriculum
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of English
