We are working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Kettering seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader of Science from September 2026. About the Role

  • Lead and deliver Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5
  • Design, review, and implement a cohesive and ambitious Science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Analyse student performance data to inform planning, interventions, and raise attainment
  • Support, mentor, and develop staff within the Science department
  • Lead on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental improvement planning
  • Promote engaging, practical, and inclusive Science teaching across the school
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support whole-school priorities and drive standards

About You

  • Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • An experienced Science teacher with strong knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
  • Ready to take on, or further progress in, a leadership role
  • Passionate about improving student outcomes and raising achievement
  • Confident in curriculum planning, assessment design, and data analysis
  • A positive and effective leader who can motivate and support colleagues
  • Committed to fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science
