We are working in partnership with a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Kettering seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader of Science from September 2026. About the Role
- Lead and deliver Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at Key Stage 5
- Design, review, and implement a cohesive and ambitious Science curriculum across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Analyse student performance data to inform planning, interventions, and raise attainment
- Support, mentor, and develop staff within the Science department
- Lead on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental improvement planning
- Promote engaging, practical, and inclusive Science teaching across the school
- Work closely with senior leadership to support whole-school priorities and drive standards
About You
- Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- An experienced Science teacher with strong knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
- Ready to take on, or further progress in, a leadership role
- Passionate about improving student outcomes and raising achievement
- Confident in curriculum planning, assessment design, and data analysis
- A positive and effective leader who can motivate and support colleagues
- Committed to fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science
