We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes that is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality classroom support across the primary age range. You will help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

  • Provide additional support for children with SEND and other additional learning needs

  • Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, numeracy, and targeted intervention programmes

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Prepare learning resources and support with classroom organisation

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers

  • Encourage independence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning

Who We're Looking For

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting

  • Be caring, patient, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development

  • Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs

  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Be reliable, adaptable, and able to use initiative in the classroom

  • Have an understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management (training can be provided where required)
