We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes that is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide high-quality support across the primary curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

  • Support children with SEND and additional learning needs through tailored interventions

  • Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, numeracy, and classroom activities

  • Help promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation

  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and enthusiasm for learning

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to support children's progress

Who We're Looking For

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children in a school or similar educational setting

  • Be caring, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Be confident supporting children with a range of learning needs and abilities

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management practices
