Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school in the Milton Keynes area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people and helping students overcome barriers to their learning. You will work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure students receive the encouragement, guidance and additional support they need to make positive progress.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them engage with their education and develop their confidence and independence.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group support
Supporting students within lessons across a range of subjects
Helping pupils understand and complete learning activities
Supporting students with additional learning needs
Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
Helping students overcome barriers to learning
Building positive and professional relationships with young people
Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
Assisting with targeted interventions
Working alongside teachers, SEND and pastoral teams
Monitoring student engagement and providing feedback to teaching staff
Helping create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Who Are We Looking For?
Previous experience within a school would be beneficial, but it is not essential if you have relevant transferable experience working with children, young people or individuals who require additional support.

Teaching assistance
SEN/SEND support
Youth work
Care or support work
Mentoring
Sports coaching
Residential childcare
Behaviour support
Children's services
Psychology or education
Graduates looking to gain experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, counselling or another education-related career are also encouraged to apply.
