Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Science Teacher to join a secondary school in the Corby area.

We are looking for a teacher who can bring Science to life in the classroom and encourage students to become curious, confident and engaged learners.

The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with opportunities to focus on your particular Science specialism depending on experience and the needs of the department.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the curriculum

• Create lessons that encourage curiosity and scientific thinking

• Assess and monitor student progress

• Adapt teaching to support students with different abilities and learning needs

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Support students with examination preparation where required

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department

• Contribute positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from Science Teachers who:

• Hold QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong Science subject knowledge

• Are confident teaching Science across KS3 and KS4

• Have a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science

• Can plan engaging and differentiated lessons

• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Are passionate about helping students achieve their potential

• Are reliable, organised and enthusiastic

• Work well as part of a department and wider school team
