About the Opportunity

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a dedicated Part-Time Year 3 Teacher to join their team from November 2026 or January 2027.

This role sits at the start of Key Stage 2, offering the opportunity to guide pupils through an important stage in their education as they build on their prior knowledge, develop greater independence and strengthen their core learning skills.

The school is seeking a passionate and committed teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, create a positive classroom environment and support pupils in reaching their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a part-time position or an Early Career Teacher keen to develop their teaching experience within a supportive primary school.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

• Support pupils' academic progress across core and foundation subjects.

• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

• Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.

• Manage behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and focused atmosphere.

• Encourage pupils to develop independence, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leadership.

• Build strong relationships with pupils and parents/carers.

• Contribute to the wider school community and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, with Year 3 experience desirable.

• Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practice.

• Is organised, proactive and reflective in their approach.

• Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.

• Can adapt teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.

• Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.

• Is available to work part-time from November 2026 or January 2027.
